Role Purpose
- The Quality Assurance & Waste Management Officer supports the Quality Assurance & Waste Management Executive in implementing, monitoring and maintaining Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Waste Management standards across all brands.
- The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, brand specifications, and internal company policies while fostering a culture of food safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
- This is a field-based position requiring continual presence across restaurants and operates on a shift basis, including evenings, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities - Food Safety & Quality Assurance
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality standards across all brands.
- Support preparation and updating of quality documentation including process flow charts, SOPs, checklists, and product specifications.
- Assist in monitoring supplier and distributor performance for compliance with brand and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine in-restaurant food safety checks, quality inspections, and follow-up visits.
- Participate in internal audits and support supplier/distribution audits when required.
- Be present during external surprise audits conducted by franchisors or regulatory bodies.
- Maintain documentation including SOPs, audit records, specifications, and compliance reports.
Key Responsibilities - Waste Management & Environmental Standards
- Support monitoring of waste segregation, recycling, waste storage, and disposal practices.
- Assist in monitoring pest control visits and follow-up actions.
- Collect and report waste-related data and performance metrics.
- Contribute to implementation and promotion of waste reduction initiatives and environmental practices.
Training & Communication
- Support delivery of training sessions on food safety, hygiene practices, and waste management procedures.
- Promote awareness of quality and waste management requirements across restaurant teams.
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain complete and accurate audit records, supplier compliance data, and waste-related statistics.
- Prepare summaries and reports for the Quality Assurance & Waste Management Executive and Management teams.
- Escalate critical deviations or recurring issues in a timely manner.
Working Conditions
- Field-based role with daily travel to multiple restaurant locations.
- Valid driving licence and personal vehicle required.
- Shift-based work including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Work takes place in kitchens, waste storage areas, receiving bays, and outdoor environments.
Proficient in English (written and spoken).
Valid driving license and ability to travel between restaurant locations.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Good communication and reporting abilities.
Team-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven mindset.
Preferably trained in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, or related field.
Experience in food service, hospitality, compliance, operations, or quality roles is considered an asset.
